Length - 137'.... Approx. 3.5 miles N. of Marshall on N. Main, continues on Marshall Rd., continues on Narrows Rd. Built by Joseph A. Britton at a cost of $3400. Supposedly his first bridge he built. Bypassed in 1966. Posted to the National Register of Historic Places on December 22, 1978. Closed to through traffic. Truss Type - Covered Burr Arch Through Truss.

MCALLISTER'S COVERED BRIDGE - CATLIN, INDIANA
LITTLE RACCOON CREEK

BUILT - 1914
Length - 143'.... ENE of Catlin, Adams Township. CR120 E. 1.3 miles from jct with S40E just N. of Catlin, N. on S130E 1.1 miles, E. on E400S 1.0 miles to the bridge. Built by Joseph A. Britton and Son. Bridge named after James D. McAllister who owned the large Fairview Hill farm near the bridge. Bridge was rehabilitated in 1977. Posted on the National Register of Historic Places on December 22, 1978. Open to through traffic. Truss Type - Covered One Span Burr Arch Through Truss.

NEVINS COVERED BRIDGE - CATLIN, INDIANA

BUILT - 1920
Length - 169' .... ESE of Catlin, Raccoon Township. CR120 E. 1.3 miles from jct with S40E just N. of Catlin, S. on S130E 0.7 miles to the bridge. Built by Joseph A. Britton and Son. The bridge was built at Gilkerson's Ford. Thomes Glilkerson had moved to the area in 1821 from Mercer County, Kentucky. In 1823 he built a mill near the ford that would later bear his name. Thomas Levi Nevins, born in 1869, later bought the Gilkerson property in 1897. This is who the Nevins Bridge is named for. Posted to the National Register of Historic Places on December 22, 1978. Open to through traffic. Truss Type - Covered Burr Arch Through Truss.

ZACKE COX COVERED BRIDGE - CATLIN, INDIANA

BUILT - 1908
Length - 72' .... W. of Catlin, Florida Township. S40E SW 1.5 miles from Catlin, N. on Rosedale Catlin Rd. 0.2 miles, turns W. & curves NW & becomes W575S 1.3 miles, curves N., NW on W500S 0.5 miles to the bridge. Built by Joseph A. Britton. Bridge named after Zachariah Cox who was born nearby in Coloma in 1857. His father was E.T. Cox and his family was quite prominent in Parke County with various family members owning nearly 1000 acres of land near the bridge. This bridge, along with the Harry Evans and Weisner covered bridges built by J.A. Britton, lack the traditional Britton Portals, Instead they have more semi-arched portals that more resemble the Hendricks Portals of the well known covered bridge builder, William Hendricks. Rehabilitated in 1989, 1991, and 2002. Truss Type - Covered Single Span Burr Arch Through Truss.
