                                                                                                                 BUILT - 1865

Length - 211'.... Bluegrass Parkway to south on Rt.55, left on Rt.458/Mt. Zion Rd., approx 2 1/2 miles on left. Built by Cornelius Barnes. Rehabilitated in 1982 and 2017. The 2017 restoration of the bridge was completed by Arnold M. Graton & Associates. 80%+ of the original bridge was able to be reused. The abutments were covered with gunite at some point in time. In the restoration much of the stone was rotated so the gunite-covered face is hidden to make the bridge more picturesque. Posted to the National Register of Historic Places on March 26, 1976. Truss Type - Covered Multiple Kingpost Through Truss with Added Arches. *During the 2015-2017 restoration of the bridge it was determined by the contractor, Arnold M. Graton Associates of Ashland, New Hampshire, that the arches were a early modification to the bridge. As such, the bridge is now correctly classified as a Multiple Kingpost Truss with added arches.
