HARMON'S COVERED BRIDGE - CHAMBERSVILLE, PENNSYLVANIA

Length - 41' .... Approx. 2 miles N. of Chambersville. One mile north on Carnahan Rd. R. on T489 (Donahue Rd.) 3/4 mile to bridge. John R. Carnahan constructed the bridge, which was designed by Thomas Pealer, Indiana County engineer. Bridge was named for J.S. Harmon a nearby farmer and Civil War veteran who survived imprisonment at Andersonville, Georgia.   Bypassed 1985. Posted on the National Register of Historic Places on August 3, 1979.
