BUILT - 1868

Length - 169' .... W. of Darlington, section 7, Franklin Township. Main St. W. 1.0 miles from jct with CR700E in Darlington, branch right (WNW) on CR500N 0.1 miles, S. on CR600E 0.1 miles to the bridge. Historic records show that George Post from Lafayette, Indiana, built the bridge using components from the Smith Bridge Company in Ohio. Joseph Kress only built the approaches and the end abutments for the bridge. The center pier was added later by an unknown person. Posted to the National Register of Historic Places on November 28, 1990. Closed to motor traffic in 1976. Truss Type - Covered Howe Through Truss.
