ROCK COVERED BRIDGE - PINE GROVE, PENSYLVANIA

SCHYKILL COUNTY
BUILT - 1870

Length - 56' .... E. of Pine Grove, Washington Township. PA895 E. 5.2 miles from jct with PA443 in Pine Grove, N. on Loves Rd. 0.1 miles to the bridge. Rebuilt 2014. During this time the original stone abutments of the bridge were strengthened with concrete, and steel I-Beam supports were placed next to the abutments to add extra support to the structure. Inside a steel guardrail was placed to protect the truss system from traffic. Posted to the National Register of Historic Places on January 3, 1978. Open to through traffic. Truss Type - Covered Single Span Burr Arch Through Truss.
