BUILT - 1874
Length - 131'....Located on Kentucky Rt.-1029 north of the junction of Rt.-165 which intersects into National Rt-68 less than a mild from Blue Licks Battlefield. The bridge was constructed by Jacob Bower in 1874. Around 1912, Jacob Bower's son, Louis, added and arch on each side to support increased traffic using the bridge. The bridge is important as the only known example of Robert Smith's isometric truss system in Kentucky, and the only one built by Jacob Bower. Rehabilitated in 2008. Posted to the National Register of Historic Places on September 27, 1976. Closed to through traffic.Truss Type - Covered Smith Through Truss.
