WALCOTT/WHITE COVERED BRIDGE - BLADESTON, KENTUCKY

BUILT - 1880
Length - 74'... Located approximately 4 miles N/E of Brooksville on Kentucky Rt.-1159. When concrete bridge was constructed about 200 yards northwest in 1954, the covered bridge was then bypassed. Later after bridge was severely damage by floods engineers determined a location about 400 feet east of the original site would be better for a better chance of survival. The bridge was reconstructed in 2002. Closed to through traffic. Truss Type - Combination of both Queen and King Post.
