POTTER'S COVERED BRIDGE - NOBLESVILLE, INDIANA

BUILT - 1871
Length - 259'.... Bridge off of N.10th Street-Allisonville Ave, going north out of Noblesville. Constucted in 1870-1871 by Josiah Durfee who was paid the sum of $13,000. The bridge was first restored in 1937, then later restored in 1999. The bridge was named for its relationship to land owned by William A. Potter (1838-1883); the site previously being known as Potter's Ford. Closed to traffic in 1971. Restoration - 1998-1999. Posted on the National Register of Historic Places on December 19, 1991.
