HOKES MILL COVERED BRIDGE - RONCEVERTE, WEST VIRGINIA

Length - 82'.... SW of Ronceverte, Eastern Township. US219 S. 0.4 miles from jct with WV63 in Ronceverte, SW on River Rd. (CR48) 3.6 miles, continue SW on Hokes Mill Rd. (CR62) 1.4 miles to the bridge on the E. side of the road. Bypassed in 1991/Closed to motor traffic. Rebuilt 2002. Placed on the National Register Of Historic Places on June 4, 1981. Truss Type - Covered Queenpost-Long Variant Through Truss.

HERNS MILL COVERED BRIDGE - LEWISBURG, WEST VIRGINIA

                                                                                                     BUILT - 1884

Length - 54'.... NW of Lewisburg, Central Township. US60 NW 3.3 miles from jct with US219 in Lewisburg, left on Bungers Mill Rd. (CR60/11) 0.15 miles, left (W.) on Herns Mill Rd. (CR40) 0.9 miles to the bridge. Built at a cost of $800. In 2000 a $543,932 restoration of the bridge was completed by Grandview Construction Inc. of Beckley, West Virginia. It included installation of steel beams to support the timber roadway in addition to replacement of timber roof trusses, and a metal roof and wooden exterior siding.  Placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1981. Open to traffic. Truss Type - Covered Queenpost Through Truss.

INDIAN CREEK COVERED BRIDGE - UNION, WEST VIRGINIA

                                                                                                     BUILT - 1898

Length - 49'....SSW of Union, Central Township. US219 SSW 4.7 miles from jct with WV3 (North St.) in Union to the bridge on the W. side of the road. Built by Ray and Oscar Weikel, ages 16 and 18years old, for $400 and was used continuously for about 30 years. It was part of the White and Salt Sulphur Springs Turnpike. Now closed to motor traffic. Rehabilitated in 1965 and 2000. The bridge was rehabilitated by Hoke Brothers Construction Inc.in 2000 at a cost of $334,446. Renovations included timber roof trusses, a new glue-laminated timber deck, new wooden exterior sidings, and a new roof of split shakes. It was placed  on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975. Closed to through traffic. Truss Type - Covered Queenpost Through Truss.

LAUREL CREEK COVERED BRIDGE - GREENVILLE, WEST VIRGINIA

Length - 25'.... Also called Lillydale Covered Bridge. Located 3 1/2 mile NE of Greenville.  West on Greenville Rd. 1/4 mile to Left on Laurel Creek Rd. (Rt.-23/4)  3 1/2 miles to bridge. Built by Robert Arnott at a cost of $365. Smallest covered bridge in West Virginia. Rehabilitated in 2000 by the Hoke Brothers Inc. for $248,692. Placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1981.Open to through traffic. Truss Type - Covered Queen Post Through Truss.

JACKSON/HONEYMOON COVERED BRIDGE - JACKSON, NEW HAMPSHIRE

                                                                                                     CARROLL COUNTY
                                                                                                            BUILT - 1876

Length - 121' ....In Jackson, New Hampshire at jct of Pinkham Notch Rd. & Main St. ( NH Rt-16 & 6A). Built by Charles Austin Broughton and his son Frank. Goodrich Falls Electric Company illuminated the bridge in 1899. The sidewalk on the side of the bridge was added in 1930. Improvements to improve visibility and provide parking was done in 1965. In 2001 the bridge received a US grant that provided the installation of a fore protection system. Additional rehabilitation to bridge was done 2004. Eligible for the National Register of Historic Places. Open to through traffic. Truss Type - Covered Paddleford Through Truss.

TAFTSVILLE COVERED BRIDGE - TAFTSVILLE, VERMONT

                                                                                                    WINDSOR COUNTY
                                                                                                           BUILT - 1836

Length - 189'.... Built by Salmond Emmons III. Rehabilitated in 1869, 1910, 1952, and after major damage caused by hurricane Irene in 2011-2013. Posted to the National Register of Historic Places on August 28, 1973. Open to through traffic. Truss Type - Un-patented modified variation of a Multiple Kingspost Through Truss with semi-independent arches. The arches extend through the bottom of the bridge connecting to the central and end support abutments. A laminated wooden arch was added sometime in the 20th century.
