BUCKHORN/COGAN HOUSE COVERED BRIDGE - SALLADASBURG, PENNSYLVANIA

BUILT - 1877

Length - 94' ... N. of Salladasburg, Cogan House Township. PA287 N. 8.6 miles from jct with PA973 in Salladasburg, NE (curves E.) on PA184 3.0 miles, S. on Campbell Rd. 1.4 miles to the bridge. The Cogan House covered bridge is named for the township and village of Cogan House. Rehabilitated in 1998.  It was the only bridge on Larrys Creek that survived the June 1889 storm that caused the infamous Johnstown Flood. Posted to the National Register of Historic Places on July 24, 1980. Open to limited motor traffic, however it ends on a short one way road. Truss Type - Covered Burr Arch Through Truss.

Posted to the National Register of Historic Places on August 6, 1979. Open to through traffic. Truss Type - Covered Queenpost Through Truss.

LOGAN MILLS GRISTMILL

BUILT - 1840

Built by Colonel Anthony Kleckman who founded the community and named it after Chief Logan. Water to run the mill'stwo turbine wheels was diverted from Fishing Creek. The gristmill was operated by a number of owners until the 1960s when it closed down. The mill still includes most of its original machinery. Logan Mills was posted to the National Register of Historic Places on August 11, 1980.
