Length - 102'.....S. of Milford Center, Union Township. US36 S. 2.7 miles from jct with State St. in Milford Center, SE on Homer Rd. 1.9 miles, E. on OH161 1.8 miles, N. on Axe Handle Rd. 250' to the bridge. Built by Reuben Partridge. Bridge was named for Eliphas Bigelow a nearby resident. It was refurbished in 1990, including the addition of internal steel supports. It was repainted in July 2008. Eligible for the National Register of Historic Places on Truss Type - Covered Partridge Through Truss.

The bridge was built at a cost of $2376. Restored in 1960, Renovated in 2003. Eligible for the National Register of Historic Places. Closed to motor traffic in 1999. Built by Josiah Bryant. Longest single span covered bridge in Ohio. Rehabilitated in 1902, 1932, and 1977. Closed to motor traffic. Truss Type - Covered Howe with Arch Through Truss.
