MEDORA COVERED BRIDGE - MEDORA, INDIANA

Length - 462' .... ESE of Medora, Carr Township. IN235 E. 1.3 miles from jct with Sparksville Rd in Medora to the bridge on the N. side of the road. Built by Joseph J. Daniels, it took nine months and cost $18,142. Closed to motor traffic in 1972. Restored in 2011. Posted on the National Register of Historic Places on September 19, 2007.  Medora Covered bridge is the longest historic covered bridge in the United States. Before the bridge was built people would cross by ferry. Until 1935, the bridge carried U.S. Route 50. Truss Type - Multiple King Post Truss Design w/Triple Burr Arch

Length - 156' ....In Scipio, Geneva Township. CR575W N. 0.2 miles from jct with IN7 in Scipio to the bridge. Built by the Smith Bridge Company of Toledo, Ohio. Rehabilitated in 1984 and in 2015. Eligible for the National Register of Historic Places. Open to through traffic. Truss Type - Covered Howe Through Truss.

JAMES/GRAHAM CREEK COVERED BRIDGE - VERNON, INDIANA

Length - 140' .....S. of Vernon, Lovett Township. IN3 S. 6.3 miles from jct with IN7 at Vernon, E. (left) 0.6 miles on CR650S to the bridge. Built by the Barron & Hole Company. It was built at James Ford and named for Thomas S. James who owned the adjacent property and mill. Rehabilitated in 2012. Eligible for the National Register of Historic Places. Open to through traffic. Truss Type - Covered Howe Through Truss.
