Length - 87'.... S. of Catawissa, Cleveland Township. PA42 S. 2.6 miles from jct with PA487 in Catawissa, W. on McIntyre Rd. 0.2 miles, S. on Shakespeare Rd. 1.0 miles to the bridge. Built by Daniel Kostenbauder at a cost of $1, 248.00. The bridge was later named Davis after a Davis who lived on a nearby farm who began repairs on the bridge in the late 1800s. Bridge was rehabilitated in 1997. Posted on the National Register of Historic Places on November 29, 1979. Bridge open to motor traffic. Truss Type -Covered Burr Arch Through Truss.

ESTHER FURNACE COVERED BRIDGE - CATAWISSA, PENNSYLVANIA

Length - 101' .... S. of Catawissa, Cleveland Township. PA487 S. 3.7 miles from jct with PA42 in Catawissa, E. on Ashton Hollow Rd. 0.3 miles, continue W. on Ridge Rd. 0.4 miles, S. on Esther Furnace Rd. 0.4 miles to the bridge. Built by C.W. Eves at a cost of $1,044.75. Bridge is named after the Esther iron smelting furnace built in 1817. Posted to the National Register of Historic Places on November 29, 1979. Open to motor traffic. Truss Type - Covered Two-Span  Queenpost Through Truss.

Length - 92'.... S. of Catawissa, Franklin Township. PA487 S. 2.9 miles from jct with PA42 just S. of Catawissa, E. on Ashton Hollow Rd. 0.3 miles, S. on Parrs Mill Rd. 0.1 miles to the bridge. Built by F.L. Shuman for a cost of $1, 275.00  Rebuilt 2012. Posted to the National Register of Historic Places on November, 29, 1979. Closed to motor traffic. (Bridge surrounded by private property so photography is limited) Truss Type - Covered Burr Arch Through Truss.

JOHNSON COVERED BRIDGE - ELYSBURG, PENNSYLVANIA

MUGSER RUN

BUILT - 1882

Length - 66' ( This is a controversial length since the various resource sites have 2 different lengths). S. of Catawissa, Cleveland Township. PA487 S. 6.0 miles from jct with PA42 just S. of Catawissa, E. & immediate S. on Knoebles Pkwy 0.5 miles, E. on Pine Swamp Rd. 1.0 miles, S. on Cleveland Rd. 300' to the bridge. Built by Daniel Stine at a cost of $799. The bridge was named after Adam M. Johnson who was a farmer in the area and also conducted a boot and shoe store near the site. Posted to the National Register of Historic Places on November 29, 1979. Open to motor traffic. Truss Type - Covered Queenpost Through Truss.
